Different Ways to Transfer Videos between Devices

Besides iTunes, do you know some other ways to transfer files especially videos between iOS devices and computer? In this article, we will conclude three ways to transfer videos from computer to iOS devices with cable or wirelessly. We will take Windows PC and iPod as an example.

1. iTunes (with USB cable)
The first method is also the most common used one. You need to connect computer and iPod via USB cable.
Launch iTunes and Click “File > Add File to Library…”, and then select the videos you would like to share in the iTunes library.
Click “Movies” in LIBRARY section, and you will see the videos you just added. Then sync those videos to iPod.

2. iPhone WiFi Transfer (without USB cable)
Download this app on the App Store. It makes full use of WiFi network. There is no need of any cables. You need to connect computer and iPod to the same WiFi network.
You need to open a web browser or download the computer companion which is totally free. Then connect computer and iPod together.

3. Video Converter App(without USB cable)
Download this app on the App Store. It also makes use of WiFi network to transfer and convert videos. The computer and iPod has to be connected to the same WiFi network as well.
Run Video Converter App and switch to the “WiFi Upload” tab.
Open a web browser on your computer. Type the URL address into the address bar.
Click the “Upload” button to choose and upload the source videos to iPod.
When the video files are added to Video Converter App via WiFi network, they will be located at the “Video Source”.
Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages among the three ways. The first two methods can only transfer iPod-, iPhone-, iPad-compatible videos. However, the Video Converter App can transfer any video files and convert them to iPod-, iPhone-, iPad-compatible videos on the iOS devices.

Share Photos and Videos between iPod and Windows PC

In this article, we will show you how to share photos and videos between iPod and computer wirelessly without iTunes. But WiFi network is essential. The following content includes two parts: transfer photos and videos from iPod to PC and transfer photos and videos from PC to iPod on the contrary. There are tiny differences between the two processes.

You need to download iPhone WiFi Transfer on the App Store. Install it to your iPod. If you have multiple iOS devices, you only need to purchase once and you can install the app to them individually. Make sure your iPod and PC are connected to the same WiFi network.

Open the app on iPod.
The latest version can show the device name in the bottom address column.

Part1 Transfer Photos and Videos from iPod to PC
1. Tap the “Send” button.
2. Select” Send Photos & Videos To: Computer”
There will be two addresses.
3. Open a Web browser on PC (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome,Opera etc). Then input one of the above two
addresses as exactly as shown on the screenshot. If you have iTunes installed on your PC, you can choose the first one.
4. Choose one album and open it.
Select the files one by one or “Select All”. Then Click the “Download” button.
The downloaded files will be stored in ZIP format. Of course you can choose the destination where it will be stored on your PC.

Part2 Transfer Photos and Videos from PC to iPod
1. Tap the “Receive” button shown on the first screenshot. 2. Select the “Receive From Computer:”.
3. Open a Web browser on PC (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome,Opera etc). Then input one of the above two
addresses as exactly as shown on the screenshot. If you have iTunes installed on your PC, you can choose the first one.
4. Click the “Upload Images & Videos” button.
You can choose an album or create a new album for the uploaded files.
5. Click the “Upload” button to choose photos and videos from your PC.
Those files will be uploaded to your selected album. You can find them in your “Photo Library”.

Share Photos and Video between iPad and iPod

The new version of iPhone WiFi Transfer has been released for some days. There are some brand new features compared with the previous version. Of course, there are some differences to use the new version. In this article, we will talk about how to transfer photos and videos between iPad and iPod to show the usage of the new version.
Let’s come to the content.

At first, you need to download iPhone WiFi Transfer and install it to iPad and iPod separately.
It is available on the App Store. You need to pay for once only. Make sure your iPad and iPod are connected to the same WiFi network.

Secondly, run the apps on the two devices. The new version can show the device name in the bottom address column.

Thhirdly, Tap the “Send” button on your iPad, select “Send Photos & Videos To: iPod/iPhone/iPad” and then select an album.
Fourthly, select the photos and videos.
Tap the photos and videos one by one, or tap “Select All” to select all the files in this album.

Fifthly, tap the “Receive” button on iPad. Tap the “ipod5” to connect to your iPod. If your device is not shown, you can “Refresh Devices”.
Select an album for those files. Or you can create a new album for them.

Sixthly, tap the “Download” button to proceed. There will be an authorization for the downloading on the iPod. You can tap “Yes, Always” or “Yes, This Time Only” according to your personal requirement.
In this case, someone who would like to download files without your permission will be prohibited.
If those files have been saved on your iPad already, there will be a pop-up dialogue like the following screenshot.
You can skip them to avoid duplicated copy, or you can download them again. You also can cancel the downloading.
After those files have been downloaded successfully, the following dialogue will appear. The new version of iPhone WiFi Transfer has made some improvement on safety and stability. Its new features make it an ideal tool for copying your whole photo library to a new device.
