Except photos and music, iCloud can transfer videos between iPhone and iPad as well. Previously, we have shown the way to transfer videos between iPhone and iPad with iPhone WiFi Transfer. In the following content, we will show another method with the iCloud.
Requirements: iTunes in the latest version; iOS 5.0 or later; 3G or WiFi network.
Part1 Upload Videos from iPhone to iCloud
1. Log in your Apple ID account. Tap the “Settings” tab on iPhone to select ‘iCloud’ item.
2. Turn on the “Back Up to iCloud” in the “Storage&Backup” window. Then click “Back Up Now” to upload iPhone videos to iCloud.
Part2 Download Videos from iCloud to iPad
1. On the iPad, tap “Settings -> Store”, and choose “Videos” as the automatically downloaded file type.
2. Tap the iCloud icon to download the music to your iPad.
This method is only suitable for the videos downloaded from iTunes. The iCloud provides 5GB of storage for free. It means you only get 5 GB for free no matter how many Apple devices you own. If your files are exceeding 5GB, you have to pay for a larger storage.
If your videos are not purchased from iTunes, or your storage is beyond 5GB, or you wouldn’t like to pay extra money to buy larger storage, you’d better try iPhone WiFi Transfer. It also makes use of WiFi network, but it is much cheaper than buying larger iCloud storage. If you would like to know more about it, you can go to App Store to get the details.
